Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, the founder of Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank (GHDIB), attended the 2022 Malaysian Banking and Finance Summit organized by KSI Strategic Institute For Asia Pacific at The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur on 29 March. Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank is also one of the partners of the event.

 

Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew believes that digitalization and digital banking will be the future development trends for banks. “Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank is one of the best examples. The investment bank uses blockchain technology, artificial intelligence (AI), big data and other high-end technologies to build a comprehensive digital financial tool, enabling Golden Horse Investment Digital Bank to serve the real economy with a revolutionary and innovative business model.

 

The 2022 Malaysian Banking and Finance Summit is a high-level Forum. The event brings together CEOs, senior bankers, technology experts and senior consultants from OCBC, CIMB, Deloitte, CTOS Digital Berhad, J.P. Morgan and more to share their insights and knowledge on the future of banking. They also discussed the role of Banks in National Economic Recovery and post Pandemic challenges faced by the Banks. YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa bin Mohamed, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) and Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, Chairman Advisory Council of The Economic Club of Kuala Lumpur (ECKL) and Chairman of Bursa Malaysia, also attended the event.

 

In his keynote speech, Datuk Seri Mustapa mentioned that the Financial Sector Blueprint 2022-2026 has outlined Bank Negara’s priorities for the next few years, and in line with the 12th Malaysia Plan, it aims to accelerate digitalization, provide more choices and access for consumers, strengthen the funding ecosystem and advance green financing. The Malaysian government welcomes all digital banks and insurance companies to join the government as they offer innovative financial products and increased efficiency.
