Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew: We Intend to Expand to the Global Market 

KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 (Bernama) — Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank, which has been established for nearly 3 years, announced today that the bank intends to expand its business and will see its transition from a digital investment bank to a full-fledged digital bank. This will provide customers with more innovative and diverse services.

Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, the founder of Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank, announced that he received approval from the Labuan Financial Services Authority to set up offices in other countries in order to expand into international markets.

“Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank has formed a special team to carry out the strategy of entering international markets in order to achieve this goal. Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank has set up its headquarters in Labuan and Marketing office in Selangor. We are planning to establish new branches or representative offices in Southeast Asia, East Asia and Middle East countries, and to diversify our products and services globally.” Said Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew.

Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew added that Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank is currently focused on digital financial investment. The company intends to transform into a full-fledged digital bank to provide customers with more diverse banking services.

Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew and the bank’s management were invited by Huawei Malaysia to visit Huawei Customer Solution Innovation Center in Kuala Lumpur. Roy Hu, the Director of Huawei Malaysia Cloud Business Development, introduced the smart city and digital bank concept developed by Huawei.

“It was a very meaningful visit. Both Golden Horse Digital Bank and Huawei have discussed future collaboration in digital finance, including cooperating in the Labuan International Financial Center’s digital transformation plan in Malaysia.” Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew said.

Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew is also the founder of Country Heights Holdings Berhad, a Malaysian listed company. He is optimistic about the future of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew believes that blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies can provide new financing channels for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses. It can also aid in the growth of the country’s economy.

Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew first discovered the potential of blockchain and cryptocurrencies in 2018. Since then, he has actively promoted the use of blockchain technology and token issuance.
